The Story
Please allow us a little yet highly fateful thought experiment.
When Aldous Huxley published his famous novel Brave New World in 1932, the book differed markedly from any dystopian vision of the future that had come before it. The source of evil was neither the terror of the state nor destructive technology. The dystopia lay in the absolute predetermination of human fate, beginning at birth itself. Physical deprivation was not the true horror of civilisation’s end; comfort devoid of freedom was.
Let this be proof that the human soul cannot bear the reins of fate. This very thought gives me reason for concern. Your June sock specimen is made from bamboo, a material of exceptional breathability and cooling comfort.
Your honourable tootsies are therefore predestined to comfort of truly utopian proportions, even in the height of summer. Nevertheless, I fully understand any feeling of unease that may arise from such an unsolicited destiny.
Material
Bamboo viscose formeth eighty parts of the Sock. Five parts each are granted unto cotton and polyamide, whose office it is to lend greater endurance unto the weave.
The remaining ten parts are entrusted to polypropylene and Lycra, that they may bestow steadfast strength, graceful elasticity, and the quiet virtue of antibacterial protection.
May thy steps ever flow with lightness.
